Roofing and Maintenance Tips
- Leaking gutter joints often occur as a result of excess weight distorting the gutter length and putting pressure on the support clips. Periodic cleaning of the gutter will help to prevent against unnecessary additional weight.
- Periodic inspections of the contents of your gutters will help to avoid more costly remedial action. If large sections of sand and cement render fillets or broken slates are visible contact a local roofing contractor to inspect for source of the debris.
- If you experience leaks within a cast iron gutter, it is reasonable to suggest that the entire gutter length is in a similar condition. Always request for a full condition inspection since it may prove more economically sensible to renew the gutter rather than conduct a series of patch repairs.
