Roof Leak Detection

Specialist techniques are used when a visual inspection fails to find the cause of a leak. These investigations are charged in half-hour increments (1 hour min.)

  • From £54.00 + VAT on weekdays
  • From £69.75 + VAT on evenings and weekends
  • From £90.00 + VAT for late nights (9pm to 7am)

Emergency Roof Repairs

There’s no extra charge for emergency attendance when we aim to be on-site within 1 hour.

Health and safety requirements mean that a roofer won’t be able to repair a roof in the dark or during bad weather conditions. However, we’ll aim to prevent water ingress from a leaking roof whenever possible immediately.

Duration Discounts

Whenever one of our roofers is on-site for extended hours, a discount to the half-hourly rate will automatically be applied:

  • Half day (4 hours & more) = 5% off
  • Full day (8 hours & more) = 10% off

Roof leak detection methods

Several methods are used to find leaks in flat and pitched roof coverings. The high-tech techniques we use are far more reliable than a visual inspection. They include:

  • High voltage equipment: the most widely used technique for detecting flat roof leaks
  • Tracer gas: preferred option for finding leaks in metal roofs
  • Thermal imaging & moisture meter: detect water ingress from flood testing pitched roofs
  • Salts analysis: indicates if internal water damage is from rainwater or a plumbing source

Our roofers check for leaks throughout the roof covering, including flashings and brickwork (chimneys and parapet walls). They can find faults in most roof coverings and reliably find multiple leaks during an investigation.
