  • Thanks for a great service. We found your electrician professional, quick and clearly articulate in explaining the work undertaken and how we should operate going forward.

  • We had an urgent electrical fault that needed dealing with quickly. The job was carried out swiftly and with minimum impact to the company. I have no reservations recommending Aspect to anyone.

  • Excellent service this afternoon. Your electrician quickly established the problem was caused by my fuse box not being installed properly. He then made sure the rest of the fuse box was safe before finishing. He was very professional and friendly, and I was very happy with the work.

Electrical safety regulations for private rental properties

Changes to the latest edition of the “Wiring Regulations” (British Standard 7671), came into effect 1 June 2020. Electrical installations in private rental properties must be inspected and tested by a qualified electrician at least every 5 years.

A copy of the EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) must be given to existing or prospective tenants. It must also be made available to the local authority on request.

When you book an EICR with us, our electrician will provide a report to ensure you’re compliant with the regulations. Details of any remedial or further investigative work needed will be included along with the recommended date for the next inspection and test. Remedial work can usually be scheduled for the same day.

You can read more about EICRs here.
