aspect.co.uk runs its second bootcamp on 26 June on Wed 13th June, 2012
UK Employers are still hiring despite the EuroZone crisis says leading entrepreneur
“Britain’s employment figures should have dropped through the floor because of the return to recession and panic caused by the EuroZone crisis,” said Will Davies – co-founder of aspect.co.uk London’s largest Property Maintenance and Refurbishment Company – today.
“The fact that employers have continued to take on new staff demonstrates that the whole story is not doom and gloom and that we should have more confidence,” said Mr Davies – who was an investment banker before creating aspect.co.uk
A survey published this week by Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) reports that there was a rise in permanent employment in May but at a slower growth rate than the proceeding five months.
“Business has to have the confidence in invest in itself and create new jobs and consumers need to have confidence to buy goods and support those jobs,” said Mr Davies.
The REC's report studied results for 400 recruitment and employment consultancies around Britain.
aspect.co.uk will be holding their second ‘unemployment boot camp’ on 26th June at the company headquarters in Earlsfield, London.
“Young people have been criticised for not wanting to work and hiding behind appalling youth unemployment figures but we believe in giving young people the opportunity to prove themselves,” said Will Davies.
“The sort of young person who turns up to a boot camp and demonstrates their ability and commitment is the sort of person aspect.co.uk will benefit from employing – and we will,” he said.
Young people attending the boot camp will be asked to complete tasks that test endurance, handyman skills, numeracy and English language skills - everything required to be a peak performer for aspect.co.uk
The young person selected will be rewarded with a paid, full-time handyman apprenticeship with aspect.co.uk
